Kathryn Thompson

Kathryn Thompson, age 81, of Swedesboro, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11th 2026 at Inspira, Mullica Hill, NJ. 

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Kathryn Holstein Werts.  Kathy worked in childcare for the YMCA in Media, Pennsylvania.  Even while struggling with late-stage dementia, Kathy always held her spark in childcare at the YMCA.  Kathy was a true woman of God and "She was everyone's Nan".  Kathy enjoyed gardening, sewing, and jumping out of airplanes but her love was taking care of children. 

Kathy is survived by her son, Bill Wolfe of Delco, NJ and her daughter, Wende Wolfe Campanile of Swedesboro, NJ; her sister, Linda Higgins; her grandchildren, John Wolfe, Chris Houston, Eric Mosher, Zachary Campanile, Scott Houston, Sean Houston, Katie Campanile and Autumn Wolfe; her great grandchildren, Aurora Mosher, Madeline Wolfe, Gwen Wolfe, Guinevere Mosher and Ava Campanile.  She is predeceased by her husband, Russell Thompson.
